Filming Begins for Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson’s Here Comes the Flood

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, behind-the-scenes photos featuring Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson have confirmed that filming for Here Comes the Flood has begun in New Jersey. Fernando Meirelles, the Oscar-nominated director of The Two Popes and City of God, is set to continue filming through late January.
Netflix describes the movie as an “unconventional thriller about a bank security guard, a teller, and a master thief who find themselves entangled in a deadly game of deception and betrayal.” The screenplay is written by Simon Kinberg, whose credits include Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Sherlock Holmes, Dark Phoenix, and Fantastic Four (2015).
Daisy Edgar-Jones, known for her performances in Twisters, Where the Crawdads Sing, and Normal People, also stars in the film.
In 2021, Jason Bateman was originally attached to direct the project with Robert Downey Jr., but after several behind-the-scenes changes, Meirelles came out of retirement to take the helm.
Washington, who was recently seen in Highest 2 Lowest directed by Spike Lee, has said he is only a few films away from retirement but has also expressed interest in working with Steve McQueen and Ryan Coogler. His entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was confirmed with Black Panther 3.
